International Children's Day - Tips for healthy children's skin

On 1 June, we celebrate our little ones - because it is International Children's Day. In addition to friendships between children, the focus here is particularly on children's rights.

So that you can enjoy this day to the fullest, it is especially important that the little ones are healthy. We always want the best for our children - and the skin plays a big role in this. Did you know, for example, that children's skin is five times thinner than adults' and much more vulnerable due to a weaker skin barrier? Children's skin therefore needs special protection and care.

We will now show you what you should bear in mind.

Children's skin dries out more quickly and is therefore more permeable to germs and bacteria. Care that supplements the skin's own protective function is therefore sensible in any case. In addition, you should always use mild cleansing products that do not dry out the skin even more.

Especially in summer, you should always make sure that your children are protected from harmful UV radiation. In the first 12 months of life, children should never be exposed to direct sunlight. From the age of 2, you should protect your child's sensitive skin with gentle products with a high SPF, preferably with physical filters and without nanoparticles.

In summary, you should consider the following:

  • When it comes to ingredients, less is more!
  • Uses light moisturising care
  • Protect your children from direct sunlight
  • Avoids extreme heat and cold
  • Do not bathe your child too often and not for too long

We wish you and your family a wonderful Children's Day!
